**Terms of Service — Cabeza Chrome Extension**

**1. Acceptance of Terms**

By installing or using the Cabeza Chrome extension (“Cabeza,” “the extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

**2. Description of Service**

Cabeza is a browser extension that captures conversations from third-party AI chat platforms (currently ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) and stores them as markdown files in your personal Google Drive or Dropbox account. The extension includes on-device machine learning features for semantic search and summarization.

**3. Third-Party Dependencies**

Cabeza depends on services and platforms operated by third parties, including but not limited to:

– AI platforms: OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini)

– Storage providers: Google Drive, Dropbox

– ML infrastructure: HuggingFace (model downloads)

– Payment processing: Lemon Squeezy

These third-party services may change their interfaces, APIs, terms, or availability at any time without notice. Cabeza has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these services.

**4. No Guarantee of Capture or Storage**

Cabeza captures conversations on a **best-effort basis**. We do not guarantee that:

– Every conversation will be captured completely or accurately

– Captured data will be stored successfully to your cloud storage

– Previously stored data will remain accessible or intact

– The extension will function without interruption on all supported platforms

Conversations may be missed, truncated, or lost due to factors including but not limited to: platform UI changes, API modifications, service outages, browser updates, network interruptions, storage provider downtime, or extension errors.

**5. Not a Backup Solution**

Cabeza is a productivity tool, not a backup or disaster recovery service. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data you consider important. Do not rely on Cabeza as your only record of any conversation.

**6. Data Ownership and Responsibility**

Your conversation data is stored in your own Google Drive or Dropbox account. You own your data. Cabeza does not store, access, or process your data on any Cabeza-operated server.

You are responsible for:

– The security of your Google Drive and Dropbox accounts

– Compliance with the terms of service of the AI platforms you use

– Ensuring that capturing and storing conversations complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction

– Any content contained in your captured conversations

**7. Credential Sanitization**

Cabeza includes automatic credential sanitization that attempts to detect and redact API keys, tokens, and other sensitive credentials from captured text before writing to cloud storage. This feature operates on a best-effort basis using pattern matching. We do not guarantee that all sensitive information will be detected or redacted. You should avoid sharing credentials in AI conversations whenever possible.

**8. Limitation of Liability**

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CABEZA AND ITS DEVELOPER(S) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

– Loss of data, conversations, or files

– Loss of business or revenue

– Interruption of service

– Unauthorized access to your stored data

– Damages arising from third-party service outages or changes

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE EXTENSION IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

**9. Disclaimer of Warranties**

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

**10. Pricing and Payments**

Cabeza offers a free trial period followed by a paid unlock. Pricing is subject to change. Early adopter pricing is honored as described at the time of purchase. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Refund policies are governed by Lemon Squeezy’s terms.

**11. Modifications to Terms**

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available at cabeza.cc/terms. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

**12. Governing Law**

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
